Following the awful injury that safety Jacob Hagen suffered in the week two victory over the Salt Lake Stallions, he has been be placed on the IR meaning he will be out for the rest of the season. This opened up another spot on the roster in which the team used to sign defensive lineman Ulric Jones.
Jones played his college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He went undrafted in last year’s NFL draft and eventually signed with the Carolina Havoc of the Arena Football League. He is 6’6 and weighs around 300 lbs.
The Iron made another roster move by cutting defensive tackle Lawrence Okoye. Okoye did not see any playing time as we was arrested just four days before the first game of the AAF season. This leaves the team with one open roster spot and we can expect them to possibly sign someone in the coming days.
